INFRASTRUCTURE - INSTALLATIONS
The Department of Mathematics is housed in two buildings with modern and fully equipped facilities. The first building (the Teaching Building) houses the classrooms and the laboratory. The second building (Administration Building) houses the administrative offices, the library with reading room, the teachers' offices and three auditoriums.
In particular, the Department of Mathematics has the following infrastructure:
Classrooms: 4 classrooms, which are located in the 1st building (Lecture Hall) and are fully equipped with computers, projectors, speakers and internet connection. In the Administration Building there are 3 auditoriums with a capacity of 450, 120 and 120 people which are shared with the other departments based in Kastoria.
Laboratory classrooms: 1 laboratory classroom, which is located on the ground floor of the Didactic Building. The laboratory classroom has a capacity of 20 persons, equipped with computers, projector, and appropriate mathematical software (Mathematica, Matlab, SPSS etc.).
Departmental secretariat offices: The Department Secretariat is housed in the Administration Building.
Library: 560 square meters with computer workstations and a reading room.
Meeting room: for the meetings of the Departmental Assembly and other meetings of special type and purpose (e.g. contacts with institutions and working groups in research projects), the meeting room located in Kastoria is used - in cooperation with the other Departments in Kastoria - for the meetings of the Departmental Assembly and other meetings of special type and purpose (e.g. contacts with institutions and working groups in research projects).
All the above spaces provide convenient access for people with mobility problems.
